    I picked up an old E2D and just ordered a lumensfactory e2 led for it. My question is which battery setup would be better? 2 16340’s or a single 16650? I assume the 2 cells would give a longer output and run time.

    I hope you can switch out the clip with the standard 2 way for bezel down carry. Also I wonder if it will work with a thrym switchback as the tailcap looks too big.

    Right. Which is why I like the alpha and the eb1 as I don't have to click through different settings to get high. I can leave the tail cap tightened and it will be high everytime.

    Correction. The hi low on the alpha is a click but you have to twist it to get to low. So if turned to high then it will be high every time you hit the tail cap

    The elzetta is offered in hi/low momentary only for the button.

    Yes. The alpha has a hi/lo twist tail cap option. I just don't want to have to click through different modes to get high. On the surefire with the tactical switch not the click if you light press you get low. Press hard and it's 200. On the alpha the mode is selected by the twist so if set to...

    The 2 I mentioned are momentary only. For constant you twist the tail cap.

    I kinda agree. They're still $150ish. But the only options for a 2 mode without clicky, on the smaller side are pretty much this or the elzetta alpha which is thicker and doesn't have a tail cap but it is brighter and there is one for sale here for $100

    200 lum thrower. The new EB1's are 5/300 but no dual tail cap on them. �� Only clickies

    Not sure. It's a led and all the ones I've seen are white.
