    One of my all time favs in pocket. E2 outdoorsman (actually mostly an indoorsman today) with MN02. Working in a cool old mansion today, makes me think of resident evil 1.

    Obviously not carrying in my pocket, but I got this NOS mag 5D from a wholesale tool store last week. Older one with a clicky switch too. It makes me happy.

    That was a typo, it’s a 6 cell d/c maglite bulb, not 6v. More like 9v.

    I read somewhere they’re around 40 lumens with fresh cells. I believe it. If there’s little to no ambient light around the mn02 is just about perfect.

    Got all this for an absolute bargain, two p60’s two p90’s and two p91’s. The rest is just a bonus, some mag parts and cheap led p60 drop in’s, and some pocket clips. The p91 is legit, first time I’ve used one.

    Favorite budget light 2023

    I haven’t had them very long but the choice is easy, convoy T3 and T4. T4 if I have to pick just one. I bought them to keep in the truck for backup, but before stashing them in there with L91’s I’m playing around with them as an EDC to make sure they’re good to go. I’ve come to like both lights...

    Mn01 rarity

    At $15 a piece I’d buy all I could, that’s a good price. MN02’s are much harder to find. Hopefully the one in my E2O lasts until I can source a few spares.

    Based on my own use the 3v rcr123’s have a very flat output with a p60 until the protection shuts the cells off. I only used one particular p60 with these cells, it started out a brand new unused lamp and probably only lasted a few hours of use with a few cell recharge cycles (rough estimate)...

    I was sorting our plumbing scrap last week and there were some automatic flush valve handles which take four c cells a piece, so I salvaged the cells before throwing away the automatic handles (not enough brass in them to dissect, if any). Tested by voltage and sorted accordingly most of them...

    ZL SC53c N 14500 Issue

    I have used a sofirn 900mah 14500 in my sc53c n, not extensively but have used a little bit. It’s much brighter on H1 (I didn’t try any other H modes) and seems to work just fine on all other modes with what seems the same brightness as AA.
