I'm not against buying some older American lights that are used so long as they are a dollar or less. Well some time ago I see a light at the flea market for a dollar but the vendor is never there but his wife was today. I traded a fifty cent piece I found at work for this 70s Eveready with working Energizer batteries.

I seen these on Egay for like 30$ plus IIRC but I don't really need one. It is well made for what it is. If you can believe it the plastic is just a covering it is a metal light underneith.

Couple of those around the shop with 21700 in an adapter and a kpr130 . They seem ok with hot bulbs. The large metal bulb holder/contact probably helps
