Hi guys,

What can I lego with an E2XTL head, which Gene says to fit only Surefire M600DF Scout? I prefer not to use the Malkoff E-series 18650 body due to the adapter issue. What other body and tailcap combo can I use to maximize a Malkoff quality?

Modlite, Valhalla tactical, and Weltool make bodies for dual fuel heads. Maybe more but that what I know off the top of my head.

Dual fuel, or DF, is just the larger 18650 compatible scout lights from surefire. The E2XTL is compatible with this thread size.

I recently learned that the E2XTL can mount on the Arisaka 18650 body, AND the Modlite 18650/18350 body. This is good news.

Just received the Weltool BB3 + TC59 18650 Body Kit. It is a matte type III anodizing. The Weltool tailcap is a forward clicky. The 18650 body accepts the standard Surefire 6P Z41 tail cap. It fits the Malkoff E2XTL perfectly well. Pretty happy about it. Didn't want to spend the cash on a ModLite. Couldn't find the Valhalla for sale. Stoked that I can run the E2XTL head on this 18650 body along with the Thyrm switch that I am accustomed to. I am going to run it with the Surefire Z41 momentary for now. Most likely replace the Z41 guts with a McClicky and make that a momentary only. I prefer the momentary only type function. Thought I'd pass along the findings.
Best.

@sgt253 Thanks for the update! I've been avoiding CPF because I keep wanting a new light every time I visit. Now I know another option for the E2XTL head.

After a few months using that combo, do you have any new update? Do you still think it's an excellent combo? What, if any, would you change about it?

@QMT93 my pleasure. Yes, I think it is an excellent combination. Head is super performing for me punching through shadows here in the city and the body allows an 18650 of my choosing to power it. No changes here. Of course more lumens and higher candela is always welcomed, lol! Best.

@sgt253 Could you take a photo of the full light, and the inside of the BB3 body? I couldn't find any similar photos online.

@sgt253 : I found out that the Malkoff MDX Tricap and the Darksucks Ti clip fit the Weltool BB3 too.

* Is that the SureFire Ti pocket clip from DarkSucks?
* Will the Keep Power protected cells Malkoff sells fit in this 18650 configuration? Looks great. I'm a big fan of Jason's clips and the Malkoff Tricap and this seems to get around that adapter trouble the MDC 18650 to E series body has complaints of.
