Stopped by the local Lowe's today to pick up some lattice and while standing in line, noticed the yellow "clearance" sticker above some Surefire CR123 batteries...a new pack of 12 for $16.78.

I grabbed the two packs I saw. This deal is also listed on their website.

Did you happen to get a look at the best before date of the batteries, to show how long Lowe's could have had them in stock?

I'll get a photo up tonight when I get home, but for the two packs I purchased, it was 2029.

So they're very new, i guess it's as good of a time as any for people to stock up now in that case so they don't try to get rid of 8-year old stock they've found somewhere.

My Lowe's website that is closest (Medford, OR) lists a 12-pack for $22.37 (clearance!), so you might want to check it out first online before you drop by. Thanks for the heads-up, though, if I could get the same price, I would move on it, too.

I had no idea Lowe's were different in their pricing...? I wonder if you had a picture of the Lowe's tag, would they honor it?

Here's one of the packs I bought. The other is exactly the same...

In the metro Columbus Ohio area, the "clearance" price is $21 at one store, and $23 at another. I stopped looking at that point: for the pennies-per-cell price difference, I'd rather buy from one of the online merchants who support this forum.
