I have one also. I just sent a email to Oveready and would like to use XPG2 for the light engine instead of the 219.

Email checked. I am happy with the 219 light engine. Hopefully will be able to get the E1E triple in the future run

Thanks

^ sorry it's just the pain, disappointment, frustration, time wasted combined kind of reaction...Dan knew jolly well I've always supported his products and will continue to do so :D

You can always pay a bit more and get one of Tom's E1 or E2 Ti customs........OK, maybe it's a bit more than a bit. I'll post a pic of it along side one of my TC XGP2's that I got from ealier releases when it gets here. He had a few more parts for builds.

Sorry to the those who were not able to get one this time around. We continue working to make releases as fair as possible (sometimes going to far). Each release has procedural improvements over the last and the next release will be no exception. We're just to early in the process to have enough units for every one, every time.

It's all great fun to watch and everything, but I'm more interested in the other Moddoolar products availability with the new LEDs and Nat Gray ano.
I had that Copper E2E on my screen during that whole 15 minutes or so that they were available, and could have clicked it at any time, but I let it go by. I didn't want it. I was just watching for entertainment, at all the frenzy going on.

When the new Moddoolar stuff comes in with the new LEDs and the gray ano, that's when I'll be clicking.

Re: Custom Triple Copper Surefire E1e & E2e (XGP2/219)

Triple/60 drop ins or Moddoolar Heads can be assembled much faster/easier than Triple E heads. Neither is out of stock because of the E's. For the heads, we built to many 219 versions with the last batch. For the drop ins, there were production delays with HA finish and (now) laser engraving of the heat sinks. Healthy supplies of boards (shared by all three) are ready, with more on the way.

We should be up to speed on these in 3-5 weeks.

Damn! A 2 week wait for the possibility of an E1 version and I leave for China right about that time. At least maybe I can snag it, pay for it and have Dan hold it until I get back.

Re: Custom Triple Copper Surefire E1e & E2e (XGP2/219)

Got my new 219 triple E2e today, and was able to do a side-by-side comparison with my first 219 triple using the two battery configurations. One on 2x18350, one on 1x18650. Somewhat dimmer on the single 18650 across the board, with high just a bit brighter than medium on 18350's. Without the other to compare to, would still be impressive as hell. What struck me was the consistincy of beam quality and tint between the two samples, and the obvious care that went into both with disassembly and rebuild: not a mark on either host. :) Beautifully done! Thanks for making these available.

Nice Greg! I didnt know you pulled the trigger on a second. :naughty:

Came home to the dreaded door tag, grabbed it and drove to the PO. :D

Even though I have done this 100 times successfully, the lady at the PO said my driver hasnt made it back. So I will have to pick it up in the AM.

Cant wait! :)

PSM- Scored the first 219 from BST, and the second straight from Oveready... :) Everyone seems to want the XP-G2, which is fine with me. When you get up into these output numbers from an E series sized light, a few lumens is an acceptable compromise for me to have the fantastic tint of the 219's... :)

Just picked up my 219 triple copper E2e along with a Milky ML1 eXtreme. I don't know which copper E2e I like better, the 219 or the XPG 2. :)

Banner day!!! :D

Very nice PSM! Any beamshots of the two at night? I've been very curious as to how the xpg2 looks compared to xpg/nichia 219 behind the carclo optics.

With a 3.5 year old and a 5 month old and a 50-60hr work week, my beamshot days are over. For now.

The 219 is more floody than the XPG2, with the extra flux of the XPG2, coupled with the tighter beam, the XPG2 out throws the 219 significantly.

I'll try iphone shots, but itll be ugly. :green:

OK, these are iPhone shots, better than nothing eh?. Yes, the XPG2 is more punchy, and yes the 219 is more floody.
