That MIKmod Switch looks great with CERAKOTE!

Hey, that Cerakote looks great on that MIKmod switch benthiccracker. Perhaps if someone would like to have you Cerakote their MIKmod switch, they could send me a pic of the finished product and I could mail them a little cash rebate.

Good Luck with a fine service my Friend.

Re: Cerakote 1st Run Edited

Brian informed me that he ran into some administrative difficulties that blocked progress for a bit, but assured me he should have it squared away shortly. Hopefully he'll have an update for us by Monday. I'm very eager to get my light! :)

Ok guys, Xevious and cbdudley lights shipped. Samuraishot yours is done I am going to the coater tomorrow to bring your nephews to be recoated because the Bright White is in. I will be playing shop assistant tomorrow during the entire process. So Kevin, Cubebike, Warrioroflight, and AZVern your hosts/parts should be done tomorrow I hope! I would like to bring them back home with me and ship by Monday. The curing temp for Cerakote is 200 degrees F for 2 hours and I don't think a G2 would survive. However there is a "air dry" version of Cerakote but I am not sure if my fella has ever messed with it.

Got mine today. Looks pretty good. On one area (crevice/ledge on the head) the coating is a little light and I spotted a few dust fibers underneath the cerakote, but overall it's nice. I assembled the light and I'm liking the new look. I'll try to upload photos tomorrow.

There is a Z2 body I wasn't happy with. It is being reblasted and recoated in Schoolbus Yellow. It will be done this Sunday and shipped with all other parts/hosts.

Here's how mine turned out:

I think I've got the only yellow Olight M20 on the planet. ;)

I debated whether or not to do the front half of the head. I figured that it is probably the most nick prone part of the light and missing yellow cerakote would be hard to disguise. But on the other hand, I suspect having it all yellow would've looked a little nicer.

EDIT: This was a momentary look for just a couple years... when after that point, the top layer of the coating started to peel off. I'm writing this as of June 2019, as I stumbled across one of Brian's old messages when cleaning out my inbox. The peeling began just under 4 years later, on a light that pretty much served very light duty. Babied. So not only was Brian Scott Lowry a criminal for other reasons, he also failed on getting this done right. The peeling got bad enough that I had to just scrape it off, using my fingernails. It came off pretty much completely, but the base coat is on really good... so leaving that. But now the deep yellow is weaker, less vibrant.
