Re: M2Xvn?

Thinking about ordering one of these with the Father's day discount. I want throw, but I think the XP-G2 PDTc would be too cool for my taste. I understand I would be giving up some throw, but any chance to get a 4500k-5000k XP-G2 PDTn? Better to go with a XP-L2 PDTn?

*edit - email sent to Vinh as well. :)

Nothing dedome is too cool but yes it might be too cool if you hate cool.

XPG2 dedome to a warmer neutral is a bit rare but I cna try to find you one if u really want it.

No big rush, I understand if it may take a bit to come across the right XP-G2.

Re: M2Xvn?

Hi!

I believe I would like to purchase this light. Here are some short, to the point questions for you to answer when you get back from vacation Vinh!
1) Does the XPG2 offer more throw than the other option?
2) To get the white ring, do I have to pay for the package that offers the sanded and polished copper?
3) Does your optional operating system offer higher output? Or just allow to program step down times?

Anyone please feel free to answer the questions because Vinh is on vacation :)

Vinh- Please dissregard my email about sending in my TM26 because I'd rather buy a light from you.

Top drawer!
It's fantastic.

I went camping last weekend, and between this, my G25C2vn, H600w, and H602w I really felt like I wasn't missing anything. I'm thinking about picking up A CL25R so I can leave my DIY H60* diffuser at home, but then I think I'll be set for a long time.

I got my tracking number, but all it says is pre-shipping! I hope nothing has gone wrong.

What batteries are good to go in your M2xvn. Anything that is protected? I just got a few of the new olight 3600mah 18650s from going gear. I'm hoping these would work. Thanks.

According to Vinh, protected batteries will have the light run at roughly 80% power. . Ordered my light last week, the usps is being such a pain delivering it! Eta was today, and it wasn't dropped off! The tracking page says "in-transit" and they haven't even updated the eta! Can't believe it!

Re: M2Xvn?

EDIT:

You will need some unprotected cells to run this light at 100% power. The driver VN2 comes with a voltage protection circuit, so you can rest assured that the light will manage the cells.

Usps says the ETA of my light is today! Ordering through Vinh was flawless, and he has been a great help. Only complaints I have are regarding the postal service, but that is nothing do do with Vinh. I will post some pictures after my camping trip!

Pardon the large image, and I will edit the image if you can't see it. This is a beam picture of my M2Xvn using a Canon 70D. In real life the tree wasn't "that" bright, but this picture certainly makes a point that the light has a great amount of throw!

EDIT: I can't get any pictures to show up! How do i post a beamshot?

I use photo bucket. Images can not be larger than 800pixel each side

Im trying photo bucket, but it only gives me a little question mark.

Create your account with photobucket, then click on the pic you want to share, there will be an option to copy 'direct link'. Click on that and it should be copied. Next, come here to CPF and start typing your post. Where you want to insert a picture, type in "
". You need to paste the direct link in between the 2 ][

Then click 'post quick reply' and you should be golden!

Hey Vinh and all! Here are 4 beam shots! I have the more throwy setup. The beam looks brighter in these pictures than in real life, but you should be able to get a feel for the throw this light offers. Also, get the special thermal compound option. This light doesn't get hot... When it gets warm, I swing my light around for about 30 seconds and blow on it. Literally all the heat is gone from the light after that!

EDIT: Vinh- this is a question for you. When programming turbo time on the driver VN2, does the light flash about 2-4 times when you reach the 20 minute time limit?

Vinh, is there any chance of having an XP-L HI 5000K as an option? I'm guessing it'd be slightly less throwy than the XP-G2 but brighter? The 6500K is too cool for my tastes.
