IMHO, this UI is the pinnacle of perfection. Hold to ramp from moonlight to turbo, single-click last memory, double-click turbo.

I don't know what the limits are for big lights, but I handles tthe D4's high amps.

I believe I read a comment by ToyKeeper that this is open source (I think).

For me, this is a milestone in flashlight history in the making!

Can you tell that I'm excited about this UI? LOL

Did you also know that if you double click Into Turbo then double-click again it will go back to the last spot you were before Turbo.

So good MADD, so good.....

Nice pictures, ven! Thanks for all the info, guys. This is the first light in a while that I'm thinking about getting.

Thanks blah......You will love it , super compact(compared to many 18650 lights like the pd35vn), UI is awesome.......no question there. If you like some punch in your beams, then vinhs version is the way to go.

Only negative for me with the D4 in general is a clip. There are a few workarounds if important, not keen on clip on clips. But there are some like the prometheus clip that can be made to fit(dremel inside of clip ring a little).

Well I just placed my order. Looking forward to checking it out! I have some old VTC5 18650s from Vinh a few years back. Are they ok for this light or do they need to be newer? Thanks!

They should be fine blah, I have actually used some older vtc5 myself. Congrats and enjoy! A new EDC around the corner that will put a smile on your face every time used:D

I know stock d4 came with the aluminum heat sink
. Does d4vn add extra heatsink like Cooper??

Not aware are of any NL, the standard D4 does a very good job as is. Also the xpg2 don't get as hot as fast, unlike the nichia and xpl HI .

Actually D4 XP-L HI is cooler than XP-G2.

Quick n dirty beam pic!

Certainly more focused and less in the spill. Love it for a quad thrower:D

Nice, that looks like the type of beam profile I'd really like for this light. :)

Hey MAD, have you gotten your hands on the Q8 yet? It is a nice popcan with 6000+ lumen and the same UI for $40. Amazing light for that price.

This seems vastly overspecced.. Reports suggest the real candela is around 26kcd. This is also in line of what you get when you dedome.

I've seen a couple people say this, but everyone else says 219C is hottest, then XP-L HI, then the XP-G2 is the coolest.

People on BLF measured amps of all variants. I'm sorry, I can't find it, it's buried in a *long* thread. 219c > XP-G2 > XP-L HI.
