    A mix of both? I know that isn't really helpful but it's going to be more of a backup for when I forget my bigger light (I'm a mechanic). Currently using a NEBO Big Larry due to its cost and because it runs on AA's. Would like something I can carry in my pocket.

    Budget Searchlight?

    Thanks for all the replies! I'm looking for a general utility type searchlight with no specific uses in mind. Was curious what was out there at the lower end of the cost spectrum. A handle is a definite "must have" for me. I'll check out the ones you've all recommended.

    Budget Searchlight?

    "Are there any decent searchlight style (larger body with a handle) lights out these days? I'm curious how many lumens you can get for "around $50." I see a few direct from China lights that look decent, but I've been out of the hobby for a few years now and have no idea whats good any more...

    Old lurker here who just got back into lights. Looking for a AAA light with a lot of flood for inspecting vehicle interiors/engines/etc. AA would be acceptable too if its not much wider than the battery. Pocket clip is a must! With all the new lights out I have no idea where to even start!
