What are the top brands of Chinese flashlights in 2019?

As far as the "mainstream" brands go, I think Acebeam lights are well made and keep up well with the technology. Their product portfolio is quite large, offering lights in various sizes and battery types. I've never had any reliability problems with them either. I've got several Convoy S2+...

Why is ArmyTek maligned or ignored in this Forum?

I've never owned one, but I was always turned off by all the writing on their lights and stories of reliability problems. Their matte finish looks great though.

Recommend me a flashlight for mounting on bike helmet for night mountain biking

Honestly it sounded pretty long to me, but I forgot it's not an 18650 light, but rather using 20700 battery. So maybe it can last that long. But as I said, 400 lumens is really not much. However, the side switch would be a deal breaker for me in this application. And yeah, Manker isn't the most...

Recommend me a flashlight for mounting on bike helmet for night mountain biking

Honestly, anything that can run for 6-7 hours is going to weigh more than 200 grams because of the battery requirement. I don't think 6-7 hours is possible even at 400 lumens. Either way, 400 lumens really isn't enough for real mountain biking in my opinion. Here's what I'm using: On helmet...

The EMISAR D4S - It has only one flaw, as I see it...

I think it's pretty handsome actually. For me, the only additional feature I would appreciate is built-in charging. Since not everyone wants that, maybe they could offer a special tailcap to support it. I just gave my green D4S XP-L Hi 4000K away to a friend as present and promptly ordered...

    [Review] - Nitecore VCL10 - ALL-IN-ONE Multifunctional Vehicle Gadget

Thanks for the review. I saw the ads for this recently and it certainly looked intriguing. It's not so often that a truly innovative device like this comes along. I'm sure we all have flashlights in our cars already, but this offers features that our flashlights don't have. I wonder how long...

    Emisar D4S

I just got mine a couple of days ago. It's XP-L Hi 4000k, green body with magnetic tail. This has instantly become one of my favorite lights ever! UI is just awesome. Powerful and flexible, but also easy to use. Tint is perfect and output is amazing. Fit and finish is excellent. Very impressed!

    Xtar VC4 changing charge current

I use an Anker Powerport 6 charger for for XSTAR VC4 and it works great - always charges each cell at the max supported by each bay. Of course it's great too that I can plug up to 5 other things into the charger at the same time!

    [Review] - Amutorch AT40 - Titanium EDC, 4x Nichia 219C, 1200 lm - by Lock

I received mine today from Banggood (only took 5 days - wow!). Pros: Beam pattern is really beautiful. It's just a huge, perfect circle. The tint is lovely (Nichia 219c). The light body is pretty nice looking with its mostly titanium construction. For an inexpensive light without a reflector...
