My priorities change with the development of new technology. In the Luxeon days I was mostly interested in increasing brightness, but I continually wanted more run time. My HDS 60 provides just about all the light I need on high but only has a run time of 42min. I used to carry spares which just...
I agree with many on this thread, I do not like memory mode in my lights (unless it is like the force mode in my HDS). I quite like the UI in the fenix L1d except that the low needs to be lower and to not flash to max at start up. My CL-E V2 is a favourite light, but man I hate the memory...
I like 3 mode best of all. I like a very low low with a good useable med and a strong high. One of my prefered UI is the Jetbeam cle with med low high sequence. I do not like the mode memory.
I also have a 18650 tube. I purchased it on BST for more than my HDS 60XR, but it is the best money I have ever spent on a flashlight. It gives great runtime and I do not have to worry about using the high level all the time. I would like another one as well.
I carry a LOD CE and a Photon Freedom cliped to my SAK in my right front pocket all the time. When I know I will be out after dark I carry a HDS U60 cliped to my front pocket. If I am wearing my Suit (always for work) I carry an Ti Exolion in the coin pocket.
Hi Kai,
I voted for OP as my preference is for beam quality over throw. On my Mag85 I like to decrease the focus and not have rings a lot of the time.
However I would certainly purchase a hybrid SMO/OP to try it out. I have not much experience with hybrid designs except for a light with a...
Hi Luxluthor,
It is great to see that your battery welder is being put to good use. I have been thinking of putting together a Mag 85 so these battery packs may come in handy.
I am sure that this offer will be very well received by CPF:party::thumbsup: I wish you more demand than you need
I always thought that the tail standing criteria for buying a light was a little ridiculous . This came from using a minimag in its candle mode a number of times while camping. The feeble light the incan globe produced was not of much use and the light was not stable in candle...
Hi Delta,
I have a C2 and am moderately happy with it as a flashlight, but quite happy with it for its price. Please note that these are just my opinions and because they are opinions others may not share them.
Pros
Great design and great looks
Well built for the price segment
Smooth beam...
I vote for the Photons. I especially like the Photon Freedom because of the great UI. I really like to be able to turn the lowest level on when needed. I have used and owned most of the lights on the list and I just keep comming back to the Photons. My Photon 2 is 7 years old and caried every...
Re: Flupic V2.2 (0.55", 1.6mm) leaving business sale! - $15 each!
Hi Goldserve,
Paypal sent for 5 Flupic's and shipping. If possible I would like 3 with a boost current of 1000ma if possible. If you only have 1.2 amp they will be fine.
5*15 = $75 + $3 = $78.00
Thanks Artisan Bill

Hi RV7,
I have been looking for a 1AA board with variable output for quite some time. I congratulate you for making such a driver.
I would be in for 3 to 5 AA and 3.7V boards with mode A. I would most likely be interested in the 18x7mm...
