Thanks @PaladinNO! I have that one on "The List", just do not have the money atm, that is why I asked about "budget" alternatives :D

Flashlight for general use (checklist included)

Could you go into a bit more detail what you want to use the light for? At the moment there are still LOTS of lights that will fit those descriptions (Almost anything Nitecore or Fenix that use 18650 could fit for example)

    Rotary UI

Aren't the Nitecore SRTs rotary controlled?

==================Flashlight Recommendation Checklist================ 1) How would you prefer to purchase the light? This will be mail-order or Online (EU > China > Rest of the world). 2) Budget: An easy question, but you may change your mind after answering the rest! :-) Up to $50. 3)...

    Recommend headlamp for reading?

The Manker E02H (the AAA model) has spot and spill. I sometimes use it with my kindle and it does ok. The Manker E03H (the AA model) is similar but comes with a diffusor that makes a more floody light out of it. I quite like those two and they are a bit less expensive than the Zebras.

    Recommend international LED flashlight sellers

BangGood and Foxbuying are what I use besides GearBest, no problems so far. (~ 20 Orders) And ofc Simon's shop at AliExpress for Convoy's. Only way to be sure you do get the most resent models and drivers.

    Reliable fauxtons?

It does not fit your description all that well, but what about something one step higher on the ladder? Astrolux TB-01 $8 for four.

Help deciding on Budget AAA EDC ?

Really? It def. seems brighter than the Sofirn which is rated at 500 ... maybe my eyes are just strange. Both have more than enough light for EDC in the city (can't talk about rural areas, I do not visit them that often at the moment).

Help deciding on Budget AAA EDC ?

Re: Any suggestion? Hi Tony, welcome! First suggestion would be to chose a more descriptive title for your topic, so that more people realize what you are looking for and chime in to help ;) As for the Light: I personally carry a Lumintop Tool AA for EDC and am very happy with it. It runs on...

BIG Maine Rain/Wind storm! Four hundred thousand households were without power!

That is why I like the Lights that can take different Power Sources. At the moment I am into lights that can take 14500 LiIon, 14500 LiFePo, AA NiMh, AA Lithium and AA Alkaline cells. Same for 10440 and AAA or 18500 and triple AAA. With those I know: If it is the right shape and size my light...
