    Power brick replacement

Thank you for the replies! I've been away for a while and couldn't post. So I got a Tripp Lite Isobar 2 outlet surge protector. Do you have any suggestions for the power brick? I know companies such as Seasonic or Sparkle make good quality power supplies for computers but I have no idea about...

OK, that should do. Thanks! Still wish they put some marks on them to make identification easier.

    ZL SC80 flashlights differences

Hi! I just got a ZL SC80 flashlight. When I was examining it I didn't notice any markings on it. Does anybody know if there is a way to differentiate between the different models: SC80, SC80w and SC80c? If you got one in your hands how could you tell which model it is? Thanks.

Battery's minimum voltage in an SC600?

Ok. The DMM is Fluke 8020A. It's an older model but should still be good. So far the flashlight seems to be working ok with the cell. If I get the time I will try to get some runtime numbers and compare to an SC600 review.

Battery's minimum voltage in an SC600?

The charger is the Xtar WP2 II one. The DMM was calibrated each year in my previous job. I forget the make but I don't think it is a cheap one. This being my first escapade into the world of Li ion rechargeable batteries and flashlights powered by them I only got one. I guess I will get a couple...

Battery's minimum voltage in an SC600?

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I tried that search term but none of the results really answered my questions. Anyhoo... I charged the cell and took it out of the charger and measured the voltage. 4.27 V. Is that ok? The cell got only barely warm to touch during charging. Will it be ok?

    Xtar WP2 II charger

Hi! I got an AW 2900 18650 protected cell and the Xtar WP2 II charger. I charged the cell on the "1" setting. I didn't want to overdo things but is that correct for this cell? I find the "instructions" that came with the charger confusing. I can not decipher any of it. It's written in very poor...

Battery's minimum voltage in an SC600?

Hi! First I'm not sure if this post belongs here or in the flashlight forum so please move it if this is the wrong one. I'm a new owner of an SC 600 flashlight (love it!). I got an AW 2900 protected cell for it and the Xtar WP2 II charger. I charged the battery and installed it in the...

    18650 recommendation

For the uninitiated it can be bewildering. So many companies vying for your money... not all of them paying much attention to quality. Which is unnerving given the possible issues with these batteries if mishandled. That's why it's so great sites like CPF exist, yay! It allows one to sift...

    18650 recommendation

So I did some research and got an AW 18650/2900 Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery (Product Code 18650-2900) from oveready.com and the Xtar WP2 II Li-Ion Charger from sbflashlights.com. After charging it I put it in the flashlight... and it's amazing! This is the best flashlight I have ever owned or...

    18650 recommendation

Hi! I was looking for a new good flashlight for a while and after reading some posts I decided to get a Zebra Light SC600. So I'm waiting for it now but I will need to get a battery for it. Apparently it uses an 18650 which I've never heard of before. It looks like it's a lithium rechargeable...
