    XM-L EDC Upgrade question

    I just confirmed that the star is epoxied to the heatsink. Anybody have any suggestions on how to get the star off without destroying it?

    I saw that thread, but the XM-L is mounted differently. It's on a star, that appears to be epoxied (Arctic Alumina maybe) to the heatsink. I'll try to remove it and see what happens.

    If he's not responding to you he probably doesn't want your business. You're already having trouble with him and you haven't even made a purchase yet, imagine what it will be like if he does make a mistake on your order, it's unlikely it would get fixed in 2014.
