    I take cells of all types, drain them as much as possible with various flashlights, then collect them in a large, clean peanut butter jar then drop them off at a recycling point coordinated by the New York State Office of General Services.

    Nope ... I still love AAs. :thumbsup: I like the 1AA and even 2AA form factors. AA cells are cheap and ever-present which make AA lights make the perfect gift for women (co-workers, friends and family). Most non-CPFers are still amazed by even 'lowly' LED lights ... let alone the Cree, Seoul...

    I have 5-mode Rebels, MTE Seouls, a SAIK Cree as well as a few others ... all 1xAA lights ... and this modular light is brighter than all of them by a significant margin (when running 2AAs ... or a 3.0V Li-Ion). As for the single mode Romisen with side switch ... I bet the emitter is the same...

    BigBlueFish, it's hard for me to compare the light on a RC123 vs 2AA as I have only one ... but I tried using a 3rd reference light. Brightness seems to be about the same with the 2 configurations (and my CR123 was a 3.6V ... not sure I would run that long in this light ... I think it's rated...
