    Similar problem with my 2 month old D10 R2 camo. It has only seen light desk duty, never carried, kept clean and lubed. Suddenly it won't remember high mode, only low and medium. I also bought it because of its supposedly reliable electronic switching.

    I preferred the original yellow-green over the current blue-white. It seemed to have better color rendition. Using the highly scientific ceiling bounce test, it's also clear that the output has decreased.

    For the past month, I've been using a Dereelight Javelin 3-mode on high for short periods and the tint has been a yellow-green. Today I happened to run it on high for about 45 minutes and it got fairly warm but not too hot to handle. The tint has permanently changed to blue-white.

    Help removing the lens from an E20?

    I wanted to place a diffusion layer behind the lens in an E20, but I couldn't unscrew the reflector. Are the threads glued? I tried needlenose pliers, but I could not budge the reflector.:(

    SF 6P (Gun Metal Grey) + Malkoff M60F + Pila 600S in the glovebox. Not so sure Li-Ions are happy with the temp extremes, but it hasn't been a problem yet...

    Thanks everyone. I just removed the spring and filed off the burr. Yes, reinstallation was a PITA but I got it back in. Now everything is smooth as silk. BTW, I use Li-Ion cells, so the continual scoring could have been a problem.
