Saved a life last night thanks to flashlights

LOL! Sure we would have catched the little bunny much quicker if we wanted to harm him for eating him, but lucky rabbit found vegan guys on his path, so no rabbit pasta in his future! ;) Adoption is already set, he will be with his new family tomorrow and will have a companion rabbit to share...

Saved a life last night thanks to flashlights

Last night a friend called because a rabbit appeared in his garden, probably lost from an home or abandoned. It was snowing and very cold, he would have probably died outside, but thanks to our help (and the flashlights I could supply everyone) we managed to catch him to be brought in a safe and...

    Eagletac G25C2 v Eagletac M3C4 XM-L. Anyone have both?

I have both and like both a lot, but they are very different lights that cover different needs. G25C2 is a pocket rocket that can blast quite far and has a great UI both for general and tactical use. It is a good winter-time EDC and a great all-around lighting too. M3C4 is a...

    I don't need anything

My advice is to stick with flashlights to fulfill different roles that can all be fueled with the kind of batteries you already have as long as you can. There's plenty of brilliant lights in 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8x AA format that will cover all your needs. Not to mention the AAA for the times you...

Would You Lend Anyone Your Flashlight ?.

To most folks my answer would be And if I did, most of them would probably not be able to figure out the UI.

    EagleTac SX25A6 XM-L U2 VS EagleTac SX25A6 XM-L T6

Pick the tint that suits you better. Difference in brightness is not perceivable.

    Nitecore EA4W I can't put it down.

Re: Serious problem with Nitecore EA4W That's funny, as I too annoyed my wife last evening with it! LOL!! EA4W truly is a masterpiece of flashlight, so much that I intend to buy another for the sake of how much I like this light, it would by the first time I do something like this and I'm a...

Recommend a light for African Trip

I've been happily using some different lights in Kenya, of course both trip companions and guides were kind of stunned by them . I suggest you privilege lightness over power. I would take the classic do-it-all couple AND a small EDC: floody headlamp + throwy handeld. It's nice to be...

    Fenix BT20 review (testing sample)

Hi, I had not seen your message. Yes, the testing sample had that issue, but I was specifically told it was a matter of calibration and that it would have not affected performance. The light would go red on turbo when battery voltage would drop to near 4.0v, very soon as you correctly stated.

    Fenix BT20 review (testing sample)

Yes, I do find more convenient to re-use my own 1xAA EDC this way too for short rides too. That's what I got the rubber/velcro flashlight holder for, and I love it :-) Dedicated devices such as the BT20 offer the possibility to have ~800 lumens, dedicated beam type and good runtimes, someone...

    Fenix BT20 review (testing sample)

Hi! Thanks for chiming in :-) I didn't know of the bycicle section, my bad, I hope an administrator find this and puts the thread where it belongs. The light is aluminum, whilst the battery pack is made of plastic (seems ABS but I have no official info on it). The O-rings are made of syl-type...

    Fenix BT20 review (testing sample)

2 Days and no reply. I start wondering about the reason for the apparently complete lack of interest on this light
