I wish I would have researched more before ordering. I ordered the 700 but the seller called me and said they were all gone but he had the 9009 so I took it. I've only had it two weeks and it's the recalled power supply. Live and learn, on the shelf for a month. I must say I didn't get any...
There is a hot spot then 2 rings followed by spill. There are no holes in the rings. I have the smooth reflector.
The rubberized tailcap comes with the light but it's in a bag. I can't imagine why you wouldn't use it. Easily pops on the end.
There is only one thing I would change with the...
Easy to change settings. Sturdy build. Good color, a little bit of ring artifact as expected. Haven't figured out how to install the lanyard ring and keep the light working but just got it. Eveyone at work can verify the strobe is blinding.
My attempt at a glamour shot
Back in 2002 when I joined CPF after getting my first $20+ torch I had no idea where we would be today. ARC was really the only player in the "high power LED" market with their 1 watt, often very green, 1x123. I don't know if anyone really knew that was the birth of a soon to be huge market...
It's been a hair over 38 months since starting this thread, around 1,150 days ago. Since that time Bubba has been a faithful friend. He still gets used 7 days a week. He goes with me to work every day and stays outside with me on the weekend. Like myself, Bubba is not as pretty as he once...
Re: Honda eu2000 fuel usage analysis
TD,
Thanks for the test buddy. Very well done. I exercised my gen. last weekend. I used it to power my Dremel. I used the Dremel to sharpen my chainsaw chains, exercising them as well in prep. for Ida. Thankfully I didn't need either one.
I didn't notice it mentioned as I read most of the thread but one if not the primary reason for high rate of fire is tracking time. You want to get on target and off as quickly as possible for a few reasons. 1. People will be shooting back at you so the longer you hold a constant angle the...
A 2,000 watt fuel efficient generator running a few things is better than a 10,000 generator that used up all your fuel that you can't replace. Goes with...no such thing as to much fuel on hand PRIOR to a storm.
Just got home from a tour of the Texas Gulf coast and have a few thoughts. I didn't get to see it all but I saw I lot of what Ike left. All you Texans that have serious damage please do not take this the wrong way.
I left from Pensacola Sun AM the 21st. I had to stay over in Lafayette, LA due...
Re: Honda EU2000i vs. Yamaha EF2400iS
turbodog has to be the gen. guru of CPF so what he says is pretty much the low down on gens.
I have the twin EU2000's and couldn't be happier. I mean that, I might find something I like just as well but not better. I have a an old Coleman 4000, use it as...
My Sister lives in San Antonio. Two days before the storm she freaked out and bought a gen., 4 gas cans, extension cords and surge suppressors. When she saw they were not needed she put the whole package on craigslist for about $80 profit. I told her she was nuts. She had 18 e-mails in 4...
My thoughts and prayers are out to those getting hammered tonight. I can't even sleep thinking about it. The size of the sucker is amazing. We had a 3-4 surge and 15-20 knots of wind all day with some gust to 30, 500 miles away!
Now you tell me...
With 10 gallons of gas sitting in my mower I wasn't looking forward to the standard hose syphon. Maybe next time.
Turbo it's looking like your number is up again.
I have finished my prep and now it's a watch and wait game. I think I will be fine on this one but my heart...
