    I think you also need to consider how you will is the colored light. On the SF aviator the colored LED still used the reflector resulting in some throw. The aviator also high a high and low mode for both LEDs. The colored LED on the OR v5 is more like a mule. The colored LED has almost no throw...

    I really like my lights with QTC. I find that I often don't need very much brightness and a QTC solves the mode spacing issue. I think you have to consider the QTC pill a wear item, even more so that an o-ring. I replace mine about every 18-24 months. The light is used a few times a week.

    I have not, thank you for the heads up. So far I have only tried the red AW IMR and the purple efest. On another note, the clip on the BOSS is great, the stock is thick so I don't feel like I am going to damage it.
