    Favorite pocket edc zebralight

I've owned a ton of EDC lights, and the MKIII HI is my favorite by far. My only serious complaint: I wish there were a screw on bezel... I like a gitd ring on the front, and every single time I've ever dropped a light has been a bezel hit :/. On the upside, it's pretty grippy, so no drops...

    Bedtime flashlight for my daughter

I'm going to reply, because I very recently looked for the exact same identical thing for my stepson. The photon keychain LED lights have a 5 minute timer on them, and they ended up being perfect. As a flashlight enthusiast, I have bought him at least 10 different lights, but they're always...

    Favorite pocket edc zebralight

I EDC a MKIII HI, and I was worried with everyone saying to go with the SC63 for EDC... But man, the MKIII completely disappears in my pocket. Imo it's way better feeling in my pocket than an HDS.

Zebralight SC600w Mk III HI am I the only one having a bad experience?

I use the same charger as you, which I'm surely going to upgrade soon, but I have absolutely no issues with it at all. There's a switch on the side of your charger...are you sure it's set to 3.7? I accidentally set it to the lower volt a few moths ago, and I was fairly disappointed for about a...

Can LED's be designed to produce more light with less heat?

Like a few others on here, I work in IT, and what I'm seeing within the LED world is almost exactly what we saw in the mid to late 90's in processors. If that plays out the same way, then within a few years we should easily see current day lumens popping out at quadruple run times with very...

Wal-Mart: 2014 spring selection of new flashlights.

I recently picked up a SF 6PX at Walmart... The Walmart here sells a few surefires, and they have a whole glass case dedicated to flashlights, which is kind of neat. Surprising actually.

HDS EDC Tail Standing Fix (56k Beware)

Well mine tail stood at first, but the more I used it the less it'd stand. When I first got the clicky, I thought I was one of the lucky ones, but it didn't last too long. :/ I am definitely positive that it's a rare thing to own a 100% tail standing clicky in any generation. It's bad enough...

HDS EDC Tail Standing Fix (56k Beware)

So I've been getting my clicky back in EDC shape, and was trying to figure out a fix so I could tail-stand. While looking online for new parts, I decided to see what I could do with the stock part, and figured out a simple solution that is way better for tail-standing and instant tactical...

Quick question for HDS led swap....

Hey guys, I've searched everywhere for this answer and can't seem to figure it out. Bare with me, I know this is going to sound REALLY dumb... I'm wanting to swap the led in my EDC 170, because I am carrying much more efficient lights simply because of the higher cri of them, and some of them...

    HDS EDC & Sodium Hydroxide

Protip: Remove the clip, and lubricate the seals. Back the tail cap and mid-section off a bit so the ano can be attacked in there. I backed them off like 1/4th a turn so it remained sealed. If it looks like it quit working, it's because it has ano powder caked onto it. You have to pull it...

    HDS EDC & Sodium Hydroxide

I know it'll be impossible to derail the topic as the only two throwers on CPF, so I'll just go ahead and say you need to get a Werrd. Irony JP is my current favorite throw, and I foresee it staying that way for a very long time. Also, as a OD and ILYY fan, you should check out the Sakura...

    HDS EDC & Sodium Hydroxide

No it doesn't. AR coatings as well appear unaffected. You can PM me about it if you want. I don't want to start a business, but we could work out something for a few lights. Just keep in mind that this doesn't work on steel, but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to polishing to a mirror finish.

    HDS EDC & Sodium Hydroxide

Technically yes, but realistically no. It attacks the oxidized layer that is the anodization, and slows down to pretty much no caustic affects after it removes the oxidation. It should be thought a lot more like a chemical that eats rust off of steel. I've left a yoyo in it for a very long...

    HDS EDC & Sodium Hydroxide

Nah, I'm not a big CLYW fan. I will admit, I was eyeballing the new Summit for a while. I'm a diehard Werrd, ILYY, One Drop, and YoyoRecreations fan. A lot of people try to buff the metal, but using lye, you can maintain the texture (like bead blasted), which doesn't hurt the grinds.

    HDS EDC & Sodium Hydroxide

While it sounds like a good idea, it should be known that grease + sodium hydroxide = soap. Don't take this to the bank, but you should be able to use a petroleum grease without adverse caustic affects. It's dangerous stuff, and after working with it for a while, it's best to say "you never...
