What other devices can use 18650 batteries?

I got the charging part down. Several chargers, several ways to run them. I'm mainly looking for other devices that can make use of the batteries. We've got 2 of these small fans. My wife has one to use at work and the other sits on my desk. I'm looking at some of the yard security lights...

What other devices can use 18650 batteries?

I saw that one and the reviews on it. I have a nice Sony shortwave radio already and several HAM radios around the house. We live on a farm and during the spring we lose power often due to the storms. I've been trying to come up with some ideas to utilize the 18650 cells and some 12V solar...

What other devices can use 18650 batteries?

Zombie thread alert!! A google search brought me here when I was looking for other things to use my batteries with. Seeing how out of date it is I thought I would resurrect it with a couple of item I found and see if anyone else has more to add. On Amazon I've found some 18650 lanterns, fans...

Free HD for existing Direct TV customers

I thought this might help save a few people some bucks. With the new program from Dish for free HD, Direct TV is giving a $10.00 a month credit for existing subs. You need to call customer service and request it though. If you already have autopay or sign up for it, the discount lasts for 24...

    Shortest P60 host?

The head on the one I received from KD is a true solarforce. It is identical to all the other Solarforces that I have ordered. It came with the flat stainless bezel ring. I have taken it off and combined parts with all my other lights to make sure they were compatible. Even the lens matches...

    Shortest P60 host?

The flat tailcap that comes on the one that both of us ordered is longer than the standard one. If you want the light to be the shortest it can be then a Surefire Z41 is the way to go. However, even used it will cost about the same as you paid for the entire light. It all depends on how much...

    Shortest P60 host?

I can't remember where on here I read about the counterfeit tailcaps. I think it was in the SHOW US YOUR SOLARFORCE thread. I will try to find it again. EDIT: Found this. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showpost.php?p=3008491&postcount=44

    Lighthound Key Chain Light

I like to put one in the top left corner of all my Plano type storage boxes. No matter what box I grab or what it contains there is always a light in the same place in the box.

    Shortest P60 host?

Where did you order it from? If you got it from KD then I think I know which one you ordered. I ordered one (L2M R2 direct drive high/lo/strobe) a while back and got it a couple weeks ago. The one I received has one of the counterfeit tailcaps on it and is not bored to accept 18mm cells. KD...

    Shortest P60 host?

Here are some lights for comparison. From Left to right. Solarforce L2M Fivemega 18500 w/Z41 tailcap Surefire 6P 18650 Solarforce L2P Solarforce L2 All lights have a flat stainless bezel ring except the L2 on the right. It normally stays in the car. I hope this gives you an idea on size.

    Shortest P60 host?

+1 for the Fivemega 1 18500 body. Let me get my stuff together and I will put up a pic of a Solarforce L2M, the Fivemega 18500, Surefire 6P, a Solarforce L2 & L2P. The Fivemega 18500 holds an AW 18500 1500 mah cell with a Solarforce MC-E 3 mode and Z41 tailcap. The Surefire 6P holds an AW...

Does your Quark have a preflash

Yes. Both of my Quark AA's have preflash. It is the worst when using turbo mode then turning on later in moonlight mode. I have to remember to flash it covered with my hand when I go in or out of the bedroom or I wake up the wife. I love the lights other than that.

    Surefire 6PL Lens Broke

You can put a bowl of water in the microwave for a few minutes, put the head in a ziplock bag and soak it for a few more minutes. This has always worked for my 6P heads. I used snap ring pliers after it was warm with no problem. It shouldn't need to be said but I will anyway. Don't microwave...

AW 2600 18650 vs IMR battery question

Thanks for your help. Looks like I need to order a couple more AW 2600 cells then. Right now I only have one of the regular cells and 2 of the IMR 18650s. I guess since I don't NEED the IMRs for these lights then I should get something useful so they won't go to waste. Sounds like a good...

AW 2600 18650 vs IMR battery question

I found the post about the regular cells not surviving after being used with the MC-E. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=232572 post#10 It seems I was wrong, they were Turstfire cells that died not the AW 2600. So it looks like I can use either without damage to the cells...
