for the theater, for the director

I did theater tech back when a Mini Mag with a red filter was the best thing obtainable, so I know the struggle is real. Check out the First Light USA Torq. It runs on two AA, side by side, so its length is about the same as a single AA. It has red, green, and blue LEDs, in addition to the...

Looking for new every day carry light, has to be two AAA sized with a tail cap

The Maratac AAAx2 is a nice little light that checks most of your boxes. The pocket clip is clipped on to the body, but has proven quite secure.

Malkoff AAA Flashlight? Now with poll.

Re: Malkoff AAA Flashlight? My ideal single AAA light is a Surefire Titan Plus with a tail switch. Since Surefire hasn’t made it happen, I will be more than happy to send Mr. Malkoff my money for a similar product. As I posted earlier, I’m down for at least two.

Malkoff AAA Flashlight? Now with poll.

Re: Malkoff AAA Flashlight? I’m so into the idea of a Malkof single AAA, especially with a clicky and a pocket clip. It will be a ‘shut up and take my money’ type of thing for me. I would buy two, at a minimum.

Super-floody AA/AAA headlamp for mechanic work

Here is a third vote for the Fenix HL10. It's so light, you'll forget you're wearing it.

    Best flashlight brands ?

I'll make an assumption here, and say The_Don would like to know which brands those who are very experienced in the ways of mobile illumination like to give or money to. As others have stated, this is a very subjective thing. In my limited experience, Surefire offers a wide variety of quality...

Should I mod my Surefire 6P or buy a new flashlight?

Keep it, but go with a Malkoff M361 drop in, and upgrade your tail cap to a McClicky. You'll get three levels of light that you can rapidly access. Your run times on the lower levels will give you more than enough run time for all night use.

Moderately priced, small, plastic flashlight wanted

I agree with Boko that a Photon Freedom would do what you want. Shop around the web, and you should find some for less than $10.

    Best USA manufacturer

First Light USA is another great US manufacturer.

    EDC keychain light

The Surefire Sidekick has been happy on my key chain for more than a year now. If you want to be able to drop in a fresh battery, rather than plug it in for a while, the Surefire Titans are a good choice.

Is it worth getting a Fisher Space pen?

My answer to the OP question is yes, yes they are.

    Looking for a Hunting Flashlight

Consider the First Light USA TORQ. 155 lumens of reasonably neutral white, with a decent throw, and two lower levels. You also have three levels of red, green, and blue, which can be useful on a hunt. It runs on 2 AA, has a rotatable right angle head that allows you to clip it on you, and...

Isn't a AA right-angle light (or headlamp) the most versatile light you can have?

First Light USA's TORQ is a very versatile right angle light that runs on 2 AA. It has a dozen different light color/output combinations, plus a strobe feature.
