    Coronavirus flashlight

I bought a few of the Rayvio xp series UV-C leds for the same reasons. They are specifically made for medical applications: http://www.rayvio.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/DS04-RayVio-XP-Datasheet.pdf https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/r/rayvio/xp-series-uv-emitter

    Air compressor recommendations

Re: Air compressor recommenda Thanks for all the info. I have been talking to an electrician to take care of power needs. Digging a trench thurs for running new service from the transformer to a 200 amp panel for the shop. Final bill on that will determine whether I spring for a rotary vane...

    Air compressor recommendations

Thanks for the clarification on the rotary converter. I am going to stick with 1 phase on the compressor after thinking about the phase converter needing to run or making a auto start.

    Air compressor recommendations

Thanks everyone for the info. After looking at my electrical planning for the shop, I am going to have to run a 200 amp panel with a rotary converter in the 30 or 40 hp range depending on whether the compressor is 3 phase. Any thoughts on this compressor from champion...

    Air compressor recommendations

I just moved up to Washington state and am looking for a compressor for the new shop. I had an Ingersol Rand SS-5 which had good output(18psi@90) but quite loud and only 1 stage. I would like something similar output but 2 stage and much quieter with 175 psi with 80 gallon tank. Any...

    Testing coatings for flashlights ...

I would like to see UV resistance testing. I have had some lights on the front of the raptor and there is some fading - or maybe it is road dirt. They were made around the start of this thread and done in the same grey as the piece I sent in to Will for this test.

Update: I found a firm that specializes in shipping machinery called Craters and Freighters. They do really heavy stuff over 20k lbs even. They are fully crating everything, shipping from socal to seattle area and unloading to my drive way for $3300 bucks. The guy was very responsive and they...

suggestions on moving my lathe, mill, bandsaw cross country...

Thanks everyone for the info. I called pods and they don't go to bainbridge but I am looking into short haul and renting a flat bed trailer to tow with my truck. I can't wait because part of moving is to get a bigger shop out of moving

suggestions on moving my lathe, mill, bandsaw cross country...

I sold the house and am moving from Santa Monica to Bainbridge Island- 1000 miles roughly. Movers don't want to touch the 13x40 jet cnc lathe or the pm45 mill or my giant bandsaw. If anyone has a good suggestion on cost effectively moving this stuff, it would be really appreciated...

Take a moment to review the link detailing when a machinist was killed in washington state with a cnc lathe. Be careful out there: http://www.lni.wa.gov/safety/research/face/files/lathestruckbybar.pdf
