Does anyone have experience with the BatteryGuy lithium AAA bateries?

I wonder if anyone has tried these yet. I wonder what the shelf life is claimed to be. https://batteryguy.com/aa-lithium-fr6-1-5v-battery.html

As to gettting rid of the suspicious cell -- find a legitimate recycler, don't just bin it. Google lithium battery trash fire for pictures of what happens when these things fail in a dump truck load or bin.

    What Ever happened to INRETECH?

So my 4-emitter dropin now has one dead emitter. I think someone put NiMH cells in the m@g and they overdrew it.

    Dawn Simulators

And it's time again. The 'Lighen Up' $20 dawn simulator looks to me like the best available option. Fairly complicated setp, you need to set the dawn time for each day (presumably in case you opt to sleep in on weekends).

    Dawn Simulators

Well, it's that time of year again -- the days start to get much shorter in August, so time to fire up the dawn simulator for mornings, and the bright lights for evenings, to mark out a day length comparable to late July or early August. As 'drizzle' remarks above it's easy to forget about this...

Anyone feel like explaining how a 7135 chip works?

Does anyone have an X-ray of the innards of a 7135 chip? I'm wondering how much of the black stuff I can file off the corners where someone squeezed one onto a driver. I tried tightening retaining rings down on the top of the 7135s and when I dropped a flashlight, the impact broke a 7135...

    I'm Fussy About Clips

The moneygrubbers at PhotoBucket have spoiled all the pictures in this thread. I'm also picky about clips, looking for sources. Any additions would be most welcome.

[REVIEW] Sofirn SF22 "Bear Hunter" (18xXM-L2, 4x26650) (Pictures, Output, Beamshots)

Re: [REVIEW] Sofirn SF22 "Bear Hunter" (18xXM-L2, 4x26650) (Pictures, Output, Beamsho Cuuuute! I recently bought a couple of their 3x26650 "AIMAI ARF01" 7-emitter lights, which are plenty stunning. H/M/L/Strobe, and each level takes about 30 seconds for mode memory to get established...

Recommend a car light for a noob?

get a $2 SK68 clone from eBay (search there for "AA zoom Cree" to find them) and use Energizer lithium primary (silver and blue) cells, which will work in cold conditions and won't leak like alkalines.

    NITECORE EC4 Review (2x18650,1050Lm,XM-L2)

A caution -- if you value having a warranty, make sure you buy only from an "authorized distributor or dealer" -- I just learned that from Nitecore because I got one of their lights with a blank, unstamped "warranty card" that Nitecore wants to have been filled out and stamped by the seller...

    Review: Thorfire PF04: AAA-penlight, XP-G2 (R5) led, 210 lumens, (beam)shots, compare

Hm, old thread but short, so I'll bump it. I was just yesterday offered a Thorfire PF04 free, offered with the hope that I'd review it honestly. Which I'll do, if it comes. But I'm wondering whether there's been any change in the model since this thread was posted, or whether ThorFire needs...

    Recommend a Holster – CPFItalia Cometa – Jax Z1

Just to be clear, "based on" means they received an approximate copy of the Z1, not an actual Z1 host. People who have both the Z1 and the Cometa have tried unsuccessfully to "lego" parts between them, the threads differ slightly, the pill and driver size differ greatly, and there are issues...
