    What is the flashlight with beam 1000m used for?

    Light up the cattle guard/ gate about 300 yards away and throw enough light there to see people/vehicle/animals that might be there.

    I like my tk22 from 2014 with its 7 lumen low, about right for that kind of light. Small edc lights I haven’t bought a fenix light since the first edition e01 due to no low modes low enough.

    12 series 4 parallel 48 batteries of quality.havent bought any in a few years but 8 per? Plus build cost. Ok 5 per Samsung 30q bulk so 200$ plus in batteries alone for your wanted spec. That advertised pack is probably garbage.

    Will NiMH cells do this?

    I don’t use my nimh batteries in co1 eo1 or my other battery vampires. Those flashlights can kill them. I’m using old school nicad which are tolerant of deep discharge and behave different when they get near dead. Nicad drop like a cliff when out of charge.

    The lens of the headlight specifically focuses the light out the front with the Normal bulb in mind. LED mounts aren’t set up the same way so the reflect at different angles vs intended angles. Result is misaimed bright spots able to hit oncoming drivers eyes ie, glare.

    Where did the 1xAA lights go?

    I don’t see many single as lights either except online. I prefer them for Edc daytime during an ambulance shift, there are spare aa batteries on the ambulance. During 24 hour shifts I carry my zebralight sc600 mk2 with full 18650

    Problem with solar lights is heat. They sit in the sun for hours daily. Nimh die early from heat, nicad not so much if you get the right ones

    To the first question I can’t answer, for the second newer game cams use 1050nm or higher ir and I see no reaction when in videos or pictures from any species.

    Spent Wednesday afternoon till about 10 am Saturday without power due to north Texas ice storm. Used my Zebralight sc600w mk2 l2 throughout without a battery change needed.
