Scuabpro Module Light - cable repair

Hello, From the pictures that I can find on the web yes it looks like the Greenforce style cable connections so I would look very close to find a "split line" where the two parts can get unscrewed. At the Greenforce connectors its hidden under one of the O-rings maybe also at your Scubapro...

How to diagnose a firing problem

Why not contacting the builder (350xfire) directly with this question? Second, a battery pack that has voltage does not need to have capacity maybe there is a bad cell in the package. Have you tried to connect the voltmeter on the battery contacts while turning the lamp on, does the voltage...

    Micro-controller help... or something

Hello drew12, You Don't draw 350 mA with those 9 LEDs but around 170 mA, see the calculation I did with your 9 LEDs and 4,5 V from 3 cells. I recently build a light with 36 LEDs! on a surface of round 40 mm, see pictures on the same link as the calculation is

    Micro-controller help... or something

Look at this: http://ledcalc.com/ or this: http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz and you will see that 9 parallel white LED's each need a resistor of 68 ohm to function properly. Fv LED ± 3.2V, 3x AAA = 4,5 V so you blow your LED's when parallel connected (with 2 cells you could connect them directly =3V)

    Waterproof ip68 compression fittings?

I can't calculate the diameter of your cable (don't know how to bring it to mm), neither do I know where you are located. But here Europe I buy this kind of fittings at Dev-Pein.de, located in Germany. They have a PG7 fitting that can pinch down on cable from 3 to 6 mm, here's a link to that...

    Help with batteries

I wouldn't go for either one of the drivers you linked, I would go for one of the Drivers from George at Taskled (http://www.taskled.com/techhbflex.shtml) And 12.8 Volts is a bit low if you need over 30 Volts on your led

how do you protect li-ion batteries for a pack?

Yes Klem, there is a difference in how someone writes things and a teacher does it different from a plain old technician  I got the hint  but he asked for any comments/suggestions.

how do you protect li-ion batteries for a pack?

Any comments?? 1. a red and a black wire on the same solder point, black to me is negative (-) and red is positive (+) this gives me the creeps. 2. sloppy solder work.

    Cerakote interest thread

Yep, I would like to have some of my lights covered with Cerakote but I guess I'm a little far away to join in. It would be nice if someone in Holland could help out :-)

Pressure Pot to Test DIVE LIGHTS!

If it doesn't leak in the first couple of minutes why would it start to leak after 24 hours? I usually put it in for 30 minutes to 1 hour or so. When I want to test a switch (for instance a piezo) I go more rapid up and down in pressure to see if I get unexpected switching happening.
