And you would be right. Looks like Nitecore has since updated the spec for the 2015 EA41.

So it's a no upgrade for me. Although Selfbuilt has purchased one and will do a review soon. Cannot wait to see it.
I have the 2014 EA41. In my opinion is it a good solid little light. It is very compact and it does give you a lot of light. If you are using this for general purpose, you cannot go wrong with the EA41.
