    Ah of course- good point. I was looking at that spacer forgetting the SC80 has a side switch.....Hmmm that same concept is going to be difficult to take to a tail switch as the spacer requires an open end to use the AA which is gonna be a problem making a contact with either the 16340 cell base...

    In my view the SC80 is the best spacer as it stays in body regardless of choice between AA and 123 So would any 17500 body work with a homemade cylindrical spacer like the SC80 one or is it reliant on the case being wired to suit that method? I dont know enough about flashlight electrics yet...
