Disappointed with the Fenix ARB-L16U batteries

After more testing of the four Fenix cells, I have discovered that the 7 months old and lightly used ones are performing poorly. The 2 month old cells are performing as advertised. So somewhere along the way the 7 month old cells have lost their ability to hold a charge.

Disappointed with the Fenix ARB-L16U batteries

It does not and I have no way of testing the capacity of the cells other than this runtime test which is far less than advertised.

Disappointed with the Fenix ARB-L16U batteries

I performed a runtime test using the Fenix CL09 Camping Lantern on Turbo Mode. I tested two each of the following cells: Fenix ARB-L16U 16340 700mAh - 1 Hour 30 Minutes. The rated runtime on Turbo mode for this cell is 2.67 Hours Nitecore NL166 RCR123A / 16340 650mAh - 2 Hours 25 Minutes...

My DIY FrankenFlood Night Trekker Light

I created a night trekking light based off of two 90 Lumen Yitee 6 LED 6000K LED emitters and the Goal Zero Switch 10. I attach it to my backpack shoulder strap and it's a unique ultra-wide flood for those scary Boogeyman hikes. The visor keeps the light from blinding people and the velcro wrap...

    Fenix CL09 Review

I love this light and have used it a few times for backpacking. In my latest test the CL09 ran at 30 Lumens with Fenix 700U battery for 15.5 hours. The D ring hanger does not sit into the light deep enough and has fallen off a few times. I have since replaced it with some paracord and Gorilla Tape.

    Help with Olight S1 Baton

Thanks for the reply. I have the VC4 charger but did not want to charge the Olight IMR cells in it because Olight advises to charge them in a flashlight only. So I ordered two Nitecore NL166 4 amp cells and they should work well with the VC4 and S1 light in Turbo mode. We shall see.

    Help with Olight S1 Baton

I've been using the Olight S1 Baton for a year and it has been a frustrating experience. I have fifteen RCR123A cells from three manufactures, Olight, Fenix, Edison Bright, and none of them will run the S1 in Turbo mode for more than a minute after the cells are a month old...
