    I'm pretty bummed out about getting my light stolen yesterday - granted I left it on my bike accidentally. It was an sc600 w/ 4000k xml. Chances are the thief won't even be able to recharge the batt once it dies out. Saving up for something similar now.

    IMO your design is the winner. It makes more sense to run each dropin separately from its own battery -simpler design. With 4 18650s why not run 4 p60s?

    Say you have 2 charged cells and your generator goes out. With an h600 @ 2.8 lumens, you could use the light for 2 hrs a night for 280 days.. that is my most used setting. It is plenty of light provided it is not a full moon (which will decrease contrast).
