Jim, Almost always get the regular version -over the long haul you’ll appreciate the versatility. You can always put some scotch tape over the lens for temporary flood and take it off when you don’t need it. Also, there are diffusers sold as flashlight accessories that you look for.

I think marine master’s profile has been hijacked -doesn’t sound like him at all!

    Zebralight SC64c

I’ve had my 64LE for about 3 weeks now and I gotta say: this little guy rocks! Fit and finish perfect, tint and cri -outstanding. But the icing on cake for me..Zebralight FINALLY upgraded their switch. Nice and grippy rubber boot cover, no air or hollow felling as you press. Perfect “click”...

I’m with you 100% on that if they ever decide to do “c” version that’s not yellow (5000k...Hi-cri or not is too cool for me)

Recommend me a flashlight for mounting on bike helmet for night mountain biking

Z.L. 600 is great choice( I’ve used it) -but if you don’t mind a little extra weight, consider the Emisar d4S! Only costs 50 with battery and you get a great choice of warmer tints, which for M.B.ing is Key. I was surprised when I mounted this and the “handle bar wobble” was minimal because...

Mark6, I consider you one of top contributors on C.P. -a mix of humor, flashaholic passion, tech knowledge (without being too nerdy) and “real world” info. Although we differ in our tint preferences (4000k vs 5000k) -I still look forward to your insites and Zebralight reviews/pictures. If...

    I'm done with Cool White!

Never anything above 4000k for me now...even my L10 Nichia 4500k seems too cool.

    Emisar D4S

Yeah, I was tempted by the xpl Hi 4000k for sure. My D1 xpl has one of the best led tints I’ve ever laid eyes on. But a few comments by my fellow candlepower members about yellowish tints (and the extra 20 bucks) made me give the xpg2 a try despite the lower output. International outdoor puts...

    Emisar D4S

Just joined the D45 club after after almost a year of owning the D1. I ordered the xpg2 neutral/warm 4000k version hoping for the ultimate mountain bike light. It looks like it will be a nice balance of throw and flood. One of big reasons I’ve been attracted to Emisar flashlights (Besides...

    Emisar D4S

Thanks for info on the xpl 4000k...I was also going to “go for the lumens” but now I’m leaning toward the xpg 2 for the warmer tint. One of the vendors that sells the Emisar D4s states: “xpg2 is neutral/warm” and the xpl 4000 is just “neutral”. This kinda gives the buyer an indication that...

ZEBRALIGHT, a 4000k “c” model please:wave: After being spoiled by my emisar D1 (xpl 4000) -anything cooler just doesn’t cut the mustard!

    Sold/Expired SOLD! ZEBRALIGHT SC600 HI

(New price: 55$ +shipping -why pay 99$?!) About a year and 1/2 old and in very good condition. Some abrasions around bezel from a few falls but other than that -works like new! Unlike some of the early release models that were slightly warmer than advertised -this one is seems right at 4500k...

need some info on a campsite light

Not sure what your price range is, but I’d strongly consider the 3700k to 4000k offerings from zebra light and army tec. Once you’ve been staring at campfire or gas lattern -it’s very difficult to look at anything above 4000k. Last summer, I had the family camping trip for 2 weeks up in the...
