    Recommend a practical LEP.

    +1 about adding zoom to increase utility to more than a spotting light. (Note that the light referenced ("...this LEP...") is an LED and not an LEP model.) Maxtorch XSword LA60 is a "focusing" LEP light that looks very nice albeit a tad pricey.

    +1 on the Olight i5 line (and the i3 line for simple and even smaller), if you can find one the i5R with HCRI is particularly nice.

    Excellent find. Solarforce made some decent D26/P60 hosts, unfortunately they went out of business a short while back. The L2 will take 6P drop-ins, so there are plenty of options if you don't like the LED in it now.

    Many other lights but the one shown is Fenix E12 V2.0. It's the closest since it's Fenix, 1xAA and tail switch. Except it has 3 levels (no strobes) instead of the old L1P's single level and no memory (always starts Low). That particular one I modded with a Nichia 219B SW45K. The grippy tape...

    Anduril 2 voltage display in lockout/standby?

    Unless the FW has been customized it should be the same pattern for all versions. It's pretty tricky to catch Voltage just right (after Disco/Rainbow) mode.

    Nice review, was wondering about the beam on this light. BTW, In your review photo caption ("From left to right: Mateminco FT01, Manker MC13, Olight i3T Brass, Acebeam Rider RX") I believe instead of "Olight i3T" that should be "Wurkkos TS10 Brass"
