    Manker T01 Ⅱ is releasing

I bought the t01 II under the notion that it will work with protected 14500 battery (in my case, orbtronic 14500). Boy, was I wrong. T01 is exactly the same as the previous version beside the tailcap lanyard loop and the pressed stainless steel bezel. The "updated" version will not accept...

2016 Acebeam D45 CREE XHP70 LED Max 4000lm Diving Light is releasing

Looks interesting to say the least. Is there temperature protection built in? Those threads are compatible with tripod mount as well right? Thanks

Mecarmy PT16 preliminary test and impression

I agree on the problematic UI. Instead of helping us see in the dark, the first thing this thing will do is blind you. That being said, I cannot emphasize enough on how robustly build this flashlight is. It's insanely well made that, as one comment said in another PT16 forum post, it's build...

    NEW MecArmy PT16 3 X CREE XP-G2 single 16340 flashlight 1000 lumens

I agree that it's not 1000 lumens. Testing more, I'm doubting my initial "700-800 lumen" range. Based on comparison between the 577 lumen and 920 lumen H1 brightness mode of Zebralight, the PT16 looks more like 600-650 lumens.

    NEW MecArmy PT16 3 X CREE XP-G2 single 16340 flashlight 1000 lumens

Lol, you don't have to worry about durability. It's built like a tank, and I don't mean it as a fanboy. Think Olight S10 aluminum wall thickness, but twice thicker. Oh, and better square edged threads than my Nitecore MH20 and found on both ends. Let's not forget the dual O-ring on the bottom...

    NEW MecArmy PT16 3 X CREE XP-G2 single 16340 flashlight 1000 lumens

Someone poster a review on the little flashlight. I have a preliminary test/impression myself, so check it out. You can even call it a review as well. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?413901-Mecarmy-PT16-preliminary-test-and-impression&p=4814906#post4814906

    NEW MecArmy PT16 3 X CREE XP-G2 single 16340 flashlight 1000 lumens

In all honesty, the cool tint is quite pleasant. You can check my preliminary test on the matter where I compared it to my Zebralight SC62W, Nitecore MH20 cool white, Fenix E50, and Olight s10 Neutral. As far as tint goes, it has a "Warmer" tint than the already pleasant Nitecore MH20 (imho)...

Mecarmy PT16 preliminary test and impression

Mecarmy is a brand that is known for their diminutive rechargeable flashlight half the size and thinner than an AAA battery. They recently released the PT16, a triple CREE xp-g 16340 flashlight that they advertise as having 1000 lumens. Being curious myself and fascinated with the claim and...

    NEW MecArmy PT16 3 X CREE XP-G2 single 16340 flashlight 1000 lumens

On your comment about neutral white, you're perfectly correct in stating that it is cool white. Nonetheless, I find the tint on the pt16 to be acceptable even for me, more so than my nitecore mh20 (I prefer NW btw). Moreover, I noticed that you tend to gravitate over Zebralight neutral white...

    MecArmy PT16: 3 x XP-G2, 1000 lumens, 16340-cell, micro-usb; (beam)shots, comparison

All my settings are equal between the flashlights. Panasonic G3 camera, 1/200th of a second shutter speed, 5000k color temperature, and the lowest iso value available of 160. Based on the photos, it is considered as a cool white as we can compare it to the Zebralight SC62W (the most "yellow"...

    NEW MecArmy PT16 3 X CREE XP-G2 single 16340 flashlight 1000 lumens

I'm in the process of testing my mecarmy pt16 alongside my sc62w. I'll upload photos on this forum post to compare the color tint (if it's neutral) and the brightness (it it's 1000 lumens).

Nitecore MH20 size comparison and impression

I can see your concern with the rubber flap, but believe me its extremely robust and snug. I tested it under water, though I didn't let it sit under water for 30 mins and at a depth of 2m as per IPX-8 standard. That being said, the reason I found this flashlight appealing is the size alongside...

Eneloop AA Pro first impression and (lots of) photo comparison

Personally, I would use the white eneloop as the emergency cell since they do maintain a charge for far longer. As far as I see it, the pro line is a good daily driver, especially for high-energy demands while still able to store it for long periods of time.

Nitecore MH20 size comparison and impression

Dubbed as the smallest 18650 flashlight with a built-in charging function, the nitecore MH20 definitely feels like one yet has the sturdiness and versatility to give a user complete confidence. I'm a neutral and warm white tint flashlight enthusiast, yet I still felt that the nitecore mh20 gave...
