    First Zebralight - Which One?

Are you sure you mean H600Fd Mk III? My understanding is that it's very close to H602w, not H600w - it is floody with frosted glass. And the do have a high CRI version (CRI 83-85).

Shorty66, your wire mod is great. Pity Zebralight did not think about it - the bouncing problem is definitely the holder's design flaw. Are these wires sold anywhere? It fits like a glove.

There is no problems when walking but you are aware of lamp's presence. You cannot tighten the headband to stop bouncing - the strap is too far away from the lamp's center of gravity. But, I think you can attach a top strap to the lamp itself or between it and the holder in the front, to the...

first Impressions of my new Zebralight H60

I bought this lamp mainly for night time reading as I find overhead lamps blinding. I find that the best level for this is 45lm, 380 lux@40 cm. By the way, this is the level of lighting normally found in libraries. I hoped i would use 15lm level for reading and, indeed, I can read at 15 or even...

    Zebralight H60

Another 8 days delay. I expected this after they added the GITD accessories. But I really, really hope that they will use this time for QA. Accepting preorders, will start shipping on Dec 5th.

They started from $40 for the P4 version.

Lithium Ion Battery Explosions and pressure release vents.

I got it: AW's vent not just prevents pressure buildup in the battery, it also disconnects the circuit. I thought it was similar to my eneloop's "vents" - found recently my Fenix L2D with the rubber button sticking out due to the offgassing caused by one cell being reverse charged by another...

They certainly decided to become more profitable. Remember the $40 H50-P4? Not that Q5 now is more expensive than P4 then...

Lithium Ion Battery Explosions and pressure release vents.

From AW's thread at the Marketplace: ***All the above protected cells have Anti-explosion Vent / PTC ( mechanical thermal protection ) in addition to the electronic PCB protection.

Lithium Ion Battery Explosions and pressure release vents.

I know that the chance of explosion is low - this is why I ordered a headlamp powered by 18650 battery. The question is about the utility (or additional danger) of the battery's mechanical protection features like pressure vent in an airtight light.

Lithium Ion Battery Explosions and pressure release vents.

Hi, I'm rather a noob here, sure this was beaten to death but I could not find the answers. Any links would be welcome. I decided to buy a Zebralight H60 headlamp working on 18650 battery and thinking if a battery with a pressure release, like AWs, is good or bad. My reasoning why it's bad is...

    KD all-in-one charger

Is it a smart charger, i.e. does it cut off charging Li-Ion/NiMH properly? What is the charging current?

    Zebralight H60

They are listening - they added GITD accessories . What do you think, 100g, is not it too much to use for running without the central strap without it sliding down into your eyes?

    Zebralight H60

Discharge LiON to 2.5??? I suggest doing this while it's in a fire-proof container And also I thing it will power light till 2.5V, but will not disconnect the chain at 2.5v. In fact, I cannot see the purpose of not having overdischarge protection - there are no primary 18650. Ah, it's for...

    Zebralight H60

The specifications state that it discharges to 2.5v. So, no, unprotected cells are not supported.
