Spare 21700 40T cells - What would you put them in?

So I dove in and ordered a FF PL47 and went to a reliable UK battery supplier and got 2x Samsung 40T's... All good I thought, that was until I read on another forum that the 40T will burn out the 219b Nichias I ordered for mine... So looks like I'll need to get a Samsung 50e for it instead...

    Rigging flashlignts to bike/ATV/other frames?

Here's what I use for mounting my BLF Q8 to my handlebars. These are light rigging clamps and was was suggested to me by fellow CPF user Keitho. works a treat and is solid on the bar.

Is my new Nitecore HC65 faulty?

Thanks folks, I'm pretty sure it's authentic. It appears this light misbehaves when it gets down to 3.5v. Just tested it on a full charge and all ok! Phew!Good to know though!

Is my new Nitecore HC65 faulty?

It came from Fasttech and had 3.5v in the cell. I've got it on charge so we'll see if that makes a difference.

Is my new Nitecore HC65 faulty?

Has anyone come across this issue before? I just received my new Nitecore HC65 but the main beam appears to only have 3 levels at what I'm guessing to be low / med / turbo. Full click to turn on then half click cycles through the 3 levels til it reaches max. (a double click from off gives me...

Incoming - What do you have coming in the mail??

To go with the BLF Q8 I got a few weeks ago I've a NiteCore HC65 coming that appears to be on a very slow boat from China (only a month but I'm impatient!) and last night just ordered myself a Champagne Fireflies PL47 in the nichia 219b flavour. Saddened to realise getting 2x Samsung 40T cells...

    Floody flashlight

Thanks for the suggestion lettherebelight but I'd prefer a more neutral tint then what these have.

    Floody flashlight

Thanks, I'm looking at this with the floody optic. Anyone tell me what sort of heat this gives at say 1000lm? I'll not need full output and plan to put a magnet on the tailcap so it can stick to a panel on my van. Wouldn't want to damage the paint!

    Floody flashlight

I'm looking for a wide flood flashlight with a neutral tint to be used to light up the area around my dog van, 10 - 15 meters is more than enough. It doesn't have to be a super high lumens and if the light was magnetic that would be ideal so I could put it on the side of the van. Can spend...

Headtorch and Bike light for Forest runs

I'm amazed by this light. It took 8 days for delivery from Banggood I opted for the Samsung 30Q's from 18650.co.uk and clamps from one of the many online lighting specialists. Here's a couple of photos. In comparison the Solarstorm light is so cold and weak (the camera doesn't show it...

Headtorch and Bike light for Forest runs

Thanks, The M43 was back in stock but I've just ordered a Nitecore HC65 and the BLF Q8. I looked at the newer Sofirn Q8 but think with the original being a bit floodier it'll suit my needs better. Got a couple of those lighting truss clamps for it too. Excited to see how it'll work. Just gotta...

Headtorch and Bike light for Forest runs

Hey thanks Keitho, I run in forests in the middle of the night, there's never any fear of blinding anyone. That's a neat idea with the M43, I had a look and it seems to be sold out everywhere checked, I like the look of the ROT66 and wondering if it would do the job... You've now got me looking...

    Show your beat up light.

My 10 yr old BD Icon. Used daily in all weather. it still works but the strap is stretched beyond return and it flickers off and on like in all good horror movies! 😂 Loking for an upgrade if anyone cares to add a suggestions to my post...

Headtorch and Bike light for Forest runs

Thanks for approving. Yeah, The Lupine's are sadly quite a bit over my budget. Been looking at the Nitecore HC65 but the Fenix HP30R also looks interesting with the two separate buttons, how are they to use with gloves on? As to lights for the handlebars I'm not sure what to do at all! Keep...
