Fenix CL25R lantern won't turn on

Are you holding the power button down for 1-2 seconds? If you're doing that and it still doesn't work, contact the vendor.

Just Got GE Enbrighten LED Lantern

Re: GE Enbrighten LED Lantern Sounds like parasitic drain, which can be an issue with electronic switches. I don't have one myself and I'm not sure if anyone has measured it. I realize it's not necessarily ideal to store the batteries outside of the lantern, but that's one possible solution...

    Nitecore LA10 & LA10 CRI comparison review

None that I'm aware of. I'm guessing not, but I'd like to see this in future versions.

    That makes sense. Thanks hiuintahs.

Fenix CL20 Lantern Field Use Review.

I thought so as well, but what else could be causing the whine? Also, the fact that it goes up in pitch with light level makes me suspect it is PWM. As the light gets brighter, the on cycles of the waveform would need to be longer which could be causing the higher pitches. Anyway, how can we...

Fenix CL20 Lantern Field Use Review.

I have the blue version and it has driver whine, but I have to hold it right up to my ear in order to hear it (and I have "dog hearing"). It goes up in frequency as you go higher in modes so it's just the usual, ever pervasive PWM. I'm pretty sure the CL25R doesn't use PWM, but the clones do...

Recommendation requested - Neutral/Warm lantern, outdoor yard use

Princeton Tec Helix Basecamp, Black Diamond Voyager, Apollo and Moji XP are all good choices for warm AA lanterns. The later of which has a dome type of diffuser and is best suited as a down light. Makes a great tent light actually.

Light for visibility: Fenix CL05, Nitecore LA10, Glo-toob AAA, or something else?

In my opinion, I feel like the Fenix CL05 would best suit your needs. I hang it off the back of my EDC pack when I'm riding my bike at night. The red and green modes might not seem that bright at 2 and 5 lumens respectively, but at close range they seem pretty bright to my eyes. Runtime is not...

Incoming - What do you have coming in the mail??

DQG Tiny 26650 III (NW) 2*Liitokala 26650 IMR (one of them is for my BTU PK26) Efest 14500 IMR (for my Utorch UT01) Is it just me or are lights getting more finicky about batteries? I appreciate smaller form factors, but when I have to go hunting around, trying to find a shorter version of a...

    Nitecore LA10 & LA10 CRI comparison review

Yeah, I've noticed the high CRI Nichias are definitely on the cooler side than the regular NW Nichias. IIRC, 5000k gives a CRI of around 75, so if you're pushing for 90 it's going to be a bit higher (looks like I aimed a bit low in my estimate above, harder to tell alongside that CW CREE). I...

    Fenix CL25R & CL30R comparison review

No problem man. Definitely neutral. I'd honestly put it at 4000-4500k by my estimation. It's on the warmer side of neutral.

good day everyone which battery lantern is brightest?

I have an old Coleman propane lantern I inherited from my grandfather. I've taken it camping a few times, but I definitely prefer battery lanterns. They're safer in general and you don't need to be using up propane to run them!
