    Thanks for the information! It sounds like the improvements from V2 to V3 are pretty minor. The V3 that I want (R2 single stage) is currently out of stock and I haven't seen a V2 for sale for a few weeks. I'll see which one becomes available first and consider them pretty much equal.:thumbsup:

    I'm planning to get a Dereelight DBS and I'm curious what the differences are between the V2 and V3? The V2s can be found (ocassionally) in the CPF classifieds in the $70 range while the newer V3s are about $100 new. Is the V3 quite a bit better? Just barely better? Basically the same?

    I'm too am looking for someone to bore a Surefire to fit 18650's. However, the SF I have is an M4 and Scott doesn't have the tooling to bore those. Does anyone know of someone who can bore a SF M4?

    Back when I used to own a couple Mag85s, I read that you should leave the lens off for a couple minutes with a new bulb because new bulbs often smoke a bit. More recently, I've read this condition is limited to potted bulbs and non-potted bulbs shouldn't smoke if they have been cleaned well...

    Thanks for the info DM51! I plan to use the light for short (less than 5 minutes) durations at a time so I should be able to recharge the cells long before they are empty but I wanted to know the approximate limit anyhow. Thanks again for the info.
