I'm still awaiting their Lawman 2 which appeared in one of the catalogues many years ago. LOL

I am waiting for the Surefire UA2 Optimus and the UB2 Invictus. :au:
Can not take that long anymore since the UM2 has been reached the marked some years ago.
:crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup:

Sorry could not resist...

The good point is the EDC1 and EDC2 have now increased output. I am quite sure in a few years the output will reach the 1000lm. Maybe therefore SF is still waiting.

The brightness has increased and the operating time has also increased, I assume that there will simply be a larger stepdown. But the news is generally excellent, which means they will be on sale soon :giggle:

Apparently it's on display at SHOT Show 2023 with a release in the next couple of months... 18650 native and Lumen output at 700 (100k candela) and the low has been revised to 25 lumens. Interesting stuff. MSRP bumped to $309. Press kit is available at https://www.surefire.com/resources/shot-show-media/
Haha, it has been exactly a year since we saw this. Don't believe anything from Surefire until you see them on someone's hands...

Flashlight and hand-warmer in one.
Not the first of its kind.
But now you'll be able to get one not from China.

MSRP,, if that high, will limit sales to general public. I'm not sure I'm ready to dish out my months food allotment for a new SF
I hear ya.
I'm just happy I got all of the SureFires I wanted, a few years back ago.
SF will have to come up with something truly revolutionary for me to part with my money now. The quality of their competitors lights have greatly improved over the last decade. With, in a few cases, better U.I.s than what SureFire has. And, the output aspect has never been an issue for its competitors. Prices go up, but salaries don't.

Granted the price of it new will be high and the people who are dead set fans wont care. Give it 6 months after it comes out and the price will drop. The XSC weapon light was originally 350 for a rechargeable weapon light. Now you get them around 225 or less.

SureFire is very strict with Authorized Dealers discounting their wares.

Huge but surprisingly quiet scandal in New York City back in the late 1990s and early turn of the century. SF caught a bunch of their A.D.s with Brick & Mortar shops discounting SF lights. A.D. status instantly revoked! Inventory of SF lights, immediately bought back. Apparently Inova (before having been acquired by Nite-Eze) found out about the situation. Offered those former A.D.'s Inova A.D. status. And, they took it! It let them keep selling American lights to their customers.

At the time, I worked in Manhattan. One day returned to all of my favorite shops for buying SF lights.... Found out that only two of them still did. One out of business now, the other one still there.

If you see a discounted New in Box SureFire light not being sold by a private individual, there's likely some shadiness involved.

I am not shocked by this. Surefire should give a discount to their customers for failing to release a product for over a year more than promised, but we both know that wont happen.
