Has anyone done it?

Surely it's possible.

I bored out my old P2x Fury -- which was designed by the manufacturer to house two CR123A.

Unless I'm mistaken, CR123A cells are 16mm in diameter.

I bored my P2x Fury out a tiny bit and then ran a single 18650 cell (18mm diameter).

Worked pretty well until I lost the flashlight and my expensive 18650 battery :duh2:

Anyways -- has anyone bored out a surefire X400 weaponlight/laser? Doesn't sound any more difficult than boring any other light designed to house two CR123A....

Anyone?

Thanks guys.

The X400 uses a side-by-side battery arrangement so it would be nothing like boring out the straight tube of a P2X. I suppose anything is possible but I can't imagine there would be much metal left on the sides if it were somehow bored out to fit two 18350s.

I don't have an X400 but it looks like it uses the same body as the X300/Y300.

Wow, somehow I overlooked that. Atleast someone was paying attention. Thank you for the insight.
