As the title states, we can't purchase lasers above 1 mw in Australia so I'm on the hunt for a good ir illuminator for my Sony camcorder nightvision setup. I've been browsing at torches like the eagletac m3c4 ir, but I'm wondering if a 3800 mw, 850 nm 12v led array from eBay might even be better. They are meant to be good for 100 m with CCTV cameras and have a focused and adjustable lense. *Link to ebay removed by Greta.*
