CBA II from Westmoutainradio died, how to repair?

Hi,

this thread is for the battery guy from German messerforum.net.
His English is even worse than mine, so I'm doing the post.

His CBA-II died for unknown reason.

After doing some measurement we found out, that the central power MOS-FET died with a open circuit.

After replacing the MOS-FET, with a same type MOSFET, the CBA worked for a while, with loads of 1A,
but when a test was run with 10A load, the MOSFET died again.

Any idea, what could have caused this, and how to fix?
Anyone to provide a circuit diagram ?

Sending the CBA to Westmountainradio is not an option,​

cause shipping is way to expensive, even if they would charge no repair costs.

It is recommened that you replace the CBA's stock IRL2910 MOSFET with an IPP048N06L.
