China Battery spot welders? POWER 788+ micro pulse 110v

Has anyone used one of these china spot welders? Im looking to get one for rebuilding my dead battery packs.

Would I be able to build a better DIY capacitor welder for the same cost (about 180 buck) Ive seen DIY setups but they do not appear to be anywhere near as adjustable...
