So this is the first TK35 UE in the forum? I am really interested in a closed look with the floody light.

Hi kj75,

Does the TK35UE reaches the trees easily?

And the barracuda, and the TK61?

But photographs, dont tell everything.

Its the 860 lumen version. There is already a 900 lumen version; and the UE with 1800 coming...

TK35UE will not reach the trees, to floody....

But the barracuda lights up the threes good, and the TK61 very good?

The TK61 lights up things at over 800 meters you can identify.

Even my TK75 does this easily at 250 meters.

You need around 2lux to clearly identify something. TK61 does reach 800mtr but not with 2lux.

Hi kj2,

My TK75 lights up a farmerhouse at night (680 meter distance) pretty good, you see really that the house lights up a little bit.

You have to look good, but its visible.

Can lit up an electricity pylon at 650 meters with my TK61....but can't see everything.
You have useful light at max. 300-400 meters

The color/contrast of the target make an enormous difference in the range it can be seen at.

A white board might be visible with 0.3 - 0.5 lux on it for example, but a light blue board might require ~ 1 lux, and a dark blue board ~ 5 lux, and a board roughly the same color as the back ground might be invisible at even 15 lux, and so forth. (At long ranges)

That means that two people can shine their same type of light at stuff 250 meters away, and one report it lit it up, and one report it didn't reach...and the only difference in targets was the specific shade of the color.

A nice white barn might be able to reflect light back to you from closer to the ANSI ranges, but not a red one.

:D

You have to see it lit up a bit at 650 meters,

even my TK75 does lit up a very litle bit (visible) a electricy pylon at that distance (have tried it) , then the TK61 does have do that thing, muuuchh easier.

Thanks for the beamshots kj75!

These pictures clearly shows that TK61 is the indisputable throw king of these lights. But also that the narrow spill of Barracuda really is an advantage for a thrower. Not difficult according to the pictures to understand that the wider spill of TK35 and TK61 blinds(much more) at the foreground, which is a drawback for seeing details far away. I am very happy with my Barracuda, and I have the warm very nice tint.

ROFL... everyone is just assuming it's the TK35 UE. Everyone wants the big emitterzzzz ;)

Pretty sure we can assume even the TK35 xm-l2 is going to do better than that UE edition. Very bright, but the beam is going to be a lot more spread out as it has the same reflector. Super bright area light for up to 50 feet is my guess.

Wow amazing beamshots!

Wonder how a UB3T Invictus would've fared in this comparison.

I go for the new fenix Tk35UE, with 1800 lumens, and huge flood, and you too kj2?
