I'd be interested also.... pending price of course.

I love the storage for an extra battery, great idea!

Thanks for doing the legwork!

Re: Feeler: Diffuser-Keyring-Cap for Liteflux LF2

Any status update on this?

I threw the basic design into the CAD software from www.emachineshop.com. 25 no-frills (still rounded the corners, but no finishing and may be done on a hand lathe/mill instead of CNC) 6061 T-6 aluminum pieces are just over $10 each (not including shipping from emachineshop or shipping to individual people), or 100 pieces at just under $5 each (ATTN: Khoo - you should order a bunch.

).

Prices will probably go up by up to $25 or so for the whole order, due to the M13 x .75 die not being a tool they normally use. I haven't contacted them for an official quote.

Hard natural anodized adds about 70% to the cost per piece, (Not hard?) black anodized adds about 60%.

I uploaded the CAD file here: http://www.mediafire.com/?5c4mjnj3mly
Feel free to check it, modify it, check prices, whatever (Note: the threads don't render in the 3D model). All you need is eMachineShop's free CAD software.

Thanks todaywalker for setting up the feeler and bruner for the original idea.

New idea inspired by this thread: design a groove in the key ring cap to accept one of the spare rubber o-rings provided by LiteFlux to add some water resistance to the diffuser spy capsule.

Re: Feeler: Diffuser-Keyring-Cap for Liteflux LF2- Price Statement

Updated Pricing!!!!

As i can not do anodizing and to keep things simple to get the most quantity i would like to go only for the stainless steel.

If there is still a interest in bare AL i will try to do some of them, too. I will post a price(little bit cheaper than SS) in the first post.

Stainless Steel is fine with me.

Thanks for getting it done. Many people have great ideas but it takes something more to go out and do it. You  daywalker.

No doubt stating the obvious but the standard head will fit on the keyring-cap for storage when the diffuser is used and we pocket the extra battery until returning the diffuser to the cap?

I don't remember anything being said that the extra battery could still be stored with the reflector head on the cap. Just checking that I have all the facts straight. :)

I hope you will consider adding a groove for the o-ring as was suggested above, this would have the obvious benefit of adding some water resistance as well and some 'traction' to keep the diffuser or reflector from coming off.
