I believe it would take a M to E adapter. I'm not sure those exist. Never mind, I had the wrong model in mind.

I have a E to M adapter. E on the brain here.

E2XTD is not for fits E Series, M600, M300 and M1.

But I think it would work without an adapter because both M500 and M600 have M head threading, no? No. I made an assumption that may be incorrect. The head on M500 looks like a z46 to me, but maybe it isn't.

No, I'm right. Surefire M3, M500, M900, M910, M961 & M962 all have the same M head threading. idky M600 is not in that list, because it should be. because it's an E! The E2XTD will screw onto the M500, so you just have to match voltage, which shouldn't be too difficult.

Nope! I am completely wrong. I was right the first time. If such a thing existed, you would need a M to E adapter, and I've never heard of one. It would be a weird adapter because that head would fall right through the middle of M threads.

Welcome to CPF, btw.

Boy trying to boil all that down made my brain a little hot...

So the E2 head is not swappable or adaptable, I appreciate your detailed response. I have been looking here trying to see if there was a listing of what parts work with what and I haven't found one yet.

Is the Malkoff MDM4 with a M91 drop in more what I am looking for?
Or the Malkoff MD90 adapter?

My goal s to be able to retain the M500 system which I already have and am very familiar with working with and get more lumens and more candela. Optimally I would like to be over 20k candela if not closer to 50K+ and somewhere in the 600-1000 lumens range.

Yes, MDM4 w/ M91 drop in for 3x CR123A or 2x Li-ion 16340

Malkoff MD90 adapter?
No, Malkoff MDM4 M91 Adapter

The Malkoff MDM4 Adapter will fit most Surefire Millennium Series Lights including the M3, M6, M500, M961, M962, M900, and M910.

Sorry about before. ><

No, not in that direction. All E are compatible with each other. All M are compatible with each other. There is an adapter to use M heads on E bodies, but not the other way around.

This is not remotely comprehensive, but should give some idea of M and E differences.
