Do you ask Malkoff for discounts lately?

Discount codes use to come automatically through emails. Although I haven't order from him in years, I'm definitely not a first time buyer to get 20%

I took 100 yard beam photos in RAW.
They are too dark. Apparently my screen was showing me the JPEG version.
I'm now exiting the beam photo sub-hobby. Lol

I won't even attempt to take outdoor beamshots.

The Javelot, and a many other lights totally out throw the E2XT, but they don't fit into the palm of your hand. Size doesn't matter much in a handheld light, but it sure does when the light is mounted to a rifle.

I need to compare the E1HT to the E2XT and Hound Dog Super again. For overall usefulness, I decided a while ago that the E2HT strikes a good balance.

The E2XT should have right about the same throw as the super but as it was said the super has 1000 lumens more and a hotspot what 4-5 times wide. It's a much more useful light. You can't really compare the two. I mean look at that new ant lep. It will out throw both but not real useful at all.

The wildcat without out the diffuser is amazing. Picture a M91T but brighter and a hotspot 4 times the size. It's like a mini super HD. It's how I run mine all the time now. Got other's for really wide stuff
Its become my favorite walk light after trying it as you suggested. I do admit that I added the 1 degree diffuser from the hound dog on a whim and prefer it for my application. It appears to throw the same as my 91T but the hot spot is massive. It really is a throwing flood light. Combined with MD3 / tricap and 23000mah cells its become the only light I reach for unless I am going into public then its all about the 91T.
Thanks for the idea.

I need to compare the E2S with the Wildcat. If the weather is right I'll do it this evening. I'm determined to become a beam photo expert.
The E2S is impressive coming out of that small form factor. But I tend to favor small form-factor lights.
@thermal guy talked me into both the Super HD and Wildcat. LOL

Me too. I did however bail on the super HD. Need to focus on getting rid of some dead weight in my lineup and a bunch of multiples. I am not a collector just a user so I need a need for a light before I can keep it and right now I am purging the unneeded before trying another.

Only time I bring out the big ones are when I'm going the woods at night. I prefer the smaller form factors…and then try to maximize efficiency and performance from the smaller form factors. I try to avoid overlapping performance unless I just want an overlapping light for whatever reason

Both are Wildcat without the diffuser. Both around 100 yards. Those trees are the same ones from the HD Super.

These are all taken with the same manual settings on a camera on a tripod. @Owen put me on the right track with this manual stuff.
I don't think this scenery is the best to highlight the differences in the lights....I didn't realize that at the time.
I have thick woods behind my house and within 60 feet or so the M91 and Wildcat with a diffuser look very similar.
I now have a better appreciation for the M91.

*Disclosure - I didn't write down the order I took the pics because I thought I would see a significant difference in beams. They are pretty similar and I had to piece together the order that I took the photos.

E2S - I had a helper holding the flashlights
