Definitely bright enough and a fantastic light, however I use my lights for everything at work and at home and the fear of possibly losing it or falling out of my pocket considering clipless is the best way to go on these. It's just too expensive for me to justify the price when my Malkoff and Zebralights do the job just as good if not better for a third of the price

Gotcha, thanks for the quick reply. I won't be taking it entirely off the list, but I do have a few malkoffs and will probably bump it down a bit. I heard the rotary clip was bad, unfortunate!

Yeah there are much better ways around the rotary clip HDS sells. Lots of info on that in the HDS forum here.

If you can get one used at a great price then I would try one out if I were you. Definitely a great light and one of the best I've had. I would just much rather use my Malkoff and Zebras and if I lost one of them I wouldn't be that upset as I would with the $350-$400 HDS
