Remember the 10 Watt HID Mag conversions made using a diving lamp as a basis that were popular around 10 years ago? I have one - I really like the crisp white light and unusual start-up with the colours flashing and firing...

Anyway, sad to say the switch stopped working today. The PCB was glued in and on removal I see that the switch PCB is really well epoxy glued in. I could really do with some help here - does anyone recognise the components used? If I knew I could just grind out the old innards, but I don't want to do that if they are rare or unobtanium as the rest of the light is perfect.

Any help appreciated. If needs be I am happy to send the switch to someone who knows about these - I really just want to get my light working again.

Thanks for any help - it is really appreciated.

I ended up grinding out the epoxy I could see, boiling it in water to soften the unseen glue and lots of glue there was! To cut a long story short the switch was mounted too low down into the cap so that it could not complete its on-off cycle (switch pressing against rubber switch boot). I will set it up so that it is further back and not fouled.
