<best old man voice> "Yep, I was there when we said to ourselves, now what we should do is come up with some kind of yardstick".

I'm working on a small flashlight and battery history book and I would love to re-unite with anyone who was part of the round-tables that set the basic parameters for the ANSI/NEMA FL-1 standards back in 2008'ish.

I'm not sure which is harder to believe, that it's been FIFTEEN YEARS, or that it was a bunch of chuckleheads like me, on a forum like this, that got the ball rolling (LOL).

Holy cow that was back when I was first on here. Those sure were exciting times back then. I'd love to have the budget to spend then and be able to buy new lights when they first came on the scene.
